Beth Kurteson, Founder

Beth has been an avid practitioner of Vedic Meditation and yoga since her late teens living in New York City. What began as a way to stay grounded amid the city's pace became a practice she has returned to through every chapter of her life since.

That practice carried her through a decade+ at the center of a fast-growing company and industry. As COO of Winklevoss Capital and Managing Director at Gemini, she helped grow the company from five people in their New York office to more than one-thousand employees world-wide, and learned firsthand how much stillness and intuition matters when everything around you is moving fast. Even earlier, in trend forecasting at Stylesight, she developed a feel for what people are quietly reaching for before they can name it.

Beth holds a B.S. from FIT and an MBA from Columbia Business School. The Mothership is where these threads come together: a place to slow down, come back to yourself, and build a practice that complements the evolution of your career and personal life.

Gigi Ferrero, Yoga Teacher

Gigi teaches a strong, intentional Vinyasa practice that balances creative sequencing with time to fully experience each shape. Expect longer holds, thoughtful alignment, breathwork, and sequences that build toward a physical focus or peak pose. Each class weaves movement with reflection, creating space to challenge yourself, explore your practice, and move with greater awareness.

Aba began practicing asana at the age of 17, including practicing and studying yoga philosophy and meditation with Jivamukti Yoga for the past 10 years. She completed her 300 Hour Teacher Training with Jivamukti Yoga. Aba experiences yoga as a journey back toward the Divine through self study and compassion for ourselves and for all living beings. In class, Aba aims to challenge others to awaken their own intuition about their bodies, minds, and overall being, just as her teachers have done for her. Her practice of yoga is focused on fostering a spirit of devotion, which ultimately brings awareness and intentionality to how we live our lives. When not teaching, Aba works as a lawyer and enjoys exploring life with her family.

Aba Yamoah, Yoga Teacher

Katra teaches a high-energy blend of Vinyasa flow and strength training, using light weights to build heat and tone the whole body. Expect a faster pace than a traditional flow class — cardio bursts, core work, and muscle-focused sequences layered over yoga fundamentals. Good for anyone who wants a sweaty, full-body workout with a mind-body component. All levels welcome; weights are optional and modifications are always offered.

Chantal Jones-Griffiths, Yoga Teacher

Chantal teaches a dynamic, breath-linked flow rooted in the discipline of Ashtanga. Expect a structured sequence of sun salutations, standing postures, and deep stretches, moving continuously with the breath. This class builds heat and strength while asking for focus and presence — athletic enough to work up a real sweat, meditative enough to quiet the noise. Suitable for practitioners with some yoga experience who want to build stamina, flexibility, and a steady mind alongside a strong body.
